The IT Systems Administrator for HVS Asia Pacific will work as part of a global team responsible for the configuration, implementation and maintenance of various technologies, reporting to the MIS team based in New York. This candidate must be able to communicate verbally in English & Hindi (Mandarin a plus).
 
The IT Systems Administrator role focuses on the administration of systems & network infrastructure to include desktop PC’s, servers, network equipment and software applications for HVS offices in the Asia Pacific region. The IT Systems Administrator will assess and identify appropriate solutions to be integrated into the system’s operation and make recommendations for implementation.
The IT System Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation, and maintenance of HVS system’s hardware, software and related infrastructure, as well as Microsoft Active Directory based management. The role includes participation in technical research and development to enable continuing innovation within the infrastructure. The IT System Administrator is responsible for ensuring that system hardware, operating systems, software systems, and related procedures adhere to organizational and industry best practices.
Further Responsibilities 
- Perform on-site and remote technical support;
- Assist with planning, design, documentation and implementation of various systems to include desktop PC’s, servers, network equipment and software applications;
- Support, monitor and maintain production and fail-over infrastructure for all external and internal clients;
- Help maintain and monitor procedures for all server backups;
- Monitor, plan and coordinate the distribution of client/server software and service packs;
- Monitor systems performance and recommend changes;
- Maintain records and document events, procedures and system configuration for department needs;
- Make recommendations for new equipment and services to purchase and work with various vendors for procurement;
- Assist in the organization and inventory of all hardware and software resources;
- Maintain excellent communication with the IT Manager on all tasks and projects;
- Create and maintain good technical documentation;
- Provide emergency on-call support on a rotating schedule;
- Create user accounts and security access;
- Manage user access to systems and network;
- Analyze system logs and identify potential issues with computer systems;
- Introduce and integrate new technologies into existing data center environments;
- Perform routine audits of systems and software;
- Apply operating system updates, patches and configuration changes;
- Install and configure new hardware and software;
- Add, remove or update user account information, reset passwords, etc.;
- System performance tuning;
- Manage firewalls and intrusion detection;
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Completion of a 4 year degree in Computer Science or related job experience
Good oral and written English skills
