HVS offers a internship (3-6 months) in its Shenzhen office, starting immediately after passing the interview. Full-time and part-time are both acceptable depends on ability. 
This is an excellent entry point into the Consulting and Valuation sector, working closely with some of the most esteemed figures in the Hospitality Industry, on prestige projects and properties across the Asian market. This internship offers exposure to various stages of hospitality ownership (feasibility studies, market studies, valuations, strategic advice, due diligence).

Main Responsibilities:

  • To support consultants in their day-to-day work, and to support them by conducting research and analysis as required;
  • To support senior management in preparing presentations, etc;
  • To assume responsibility for maintaining specific electronic HVS databases; and libraries; 
  • To organize and circulate key trends, news and statistics among team members;
  • To actively seek new research opportunities and sources;
  • Input with research-based assignments as appropriate.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Participation in office meetings, weekly progress meetings and marketing meetings, as required;
  • Compliance with administrative procedures and practices, as operated within the HVS Shenzhen office;

Academic Background:

  • Degree from or currently studying at a recognised hotel school or business school.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong English language skills, both written and spoken;
  • Strong level of numeracy and an analytical aptitude;
  • Knowledge of the China hotel market;
  • Strong computer skills, including financial modelling (Excel) and word processing (Word);
  • Desired: Strong Mandarin and Cantonese language skills, both written and spoken.
