DESCRIPTION OF THE POSITION

This role will help to establish a dedicated executive search practice that will supplement the firms’ core competencies; retained executive and mid-management search. Overall responsibility for handling search assignments and for generating new business opportunities while maintaining existing client relationships. In stages hire, drive and manage a team of consultants and researchers to deliver on assigned search related requirements while adhering to company policies and standard operating procedures.

More specifically, the responsibilities will include:

·         Quality and Customer Focus

-           Identify leads/opportunities for business development

-           Generate individual business plan divided into monthly and quarterly targets and generate business/new accounts

-           Make pitches to potential clients for executive search

-           Actively undertake networking activities by participation in forums/seminars

-           Manage the cordial relationship with all the customers and entities and develop new relationships

-           Develop and continue to expand a strong personal client base

-           Handle and resolve all issues with the client promptly and to everyone's satisfaction

 

·         Execution of Search assignment

-           Executive Search and Mid-Management assignments with minimal supervision

-           Highly proficient in preparation and writing of proposals, opportunity profiles, candidate summaries, shortlists, research lists and other reports

-           Conduct interviews and role profiling with client

-           Gain understanding and thorough knowledge of competitors based on specific search assignment

-           Execute end to end search assignments independently and/or with a team

-           Create Search Strategy and define timelines

-           Ensure timely billing and collection per the service contract

 

·         Planning/Work Allocation

-           Overall responsibility for performance and future growth of the line of business

-           Ensure that the business revenues and targets are met profitably

-           Prepare financial budgets as per the direction of CEO/Managing Director and manage future growth as per the vision of the organization

-           Drive and motivate team members towards execution and closure of search assignment while adhering to standard operating procedures

-           Build rapport and trust amongst team members

-           Nurture a spirit of teamwork

-           Ensure adherence to company policies

-           Ensure that all new hires have completed induction and are trained as per HVS standards

-           Implement ideas to strengthen/streamline existing processes

-           Keep the team informed of important developments that impact their work

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP

The position will report to the Managing Director – Europe & Asia Pacific.

 

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS

·         Several years of relevant experience in the same or similar work domain, so you are comfortable to work independently and able to deliver on set targets

·         Strong analytical, financial and writing skills

·         Excellent oral and written English communication skills. Ability to speak and write Cantonese/Mandarin/Malay or Thai will be an added advantage

·         Experience in working with Microsoft Office and other common business software e.g. LinkedIn, Xing, CRMs

·         Should be able to deep dive in the hospitality business to identify trends in the industry and plan for opportunities and challenges

COMPENSATION

The package will include a draw base salary against a competitive commission scheme.
