Principal Responsibilities
Establish the HVS Asset Management Services as an advisory practice, entrusted by its clients, with the task of maximizing yields from their hotel assets. Leading and managing the Bangkok office along with guiding the team on their daily tasks.
Detailed Responsibilities
  1. Business development activities for asset management services. Assist in growing the business by finding and developing qualified leads.
  2. Conduct asset management assignments ranging from review of hotel operations to strategic advice on asset management of individual hotels to portfolios, brand development strategies, pre-opening advice, etc.
  3. Active involvement in analyzing market and financial data, market positioning, and interacting with the operations.
  4. Understanding the executed Hotel management and franchise agreements between the client and the brand
  5. Conduct process audits and attend monthly operations review meetings and on-site visits
  6. Regular interface and communication link between the ownership and operator
  7. Participate in asset business plans and update as required by owners and/or market circumstances including financial planning, CapEx, rebranding, expansion, operations and disposition strategies.
  8. Assume a leadership role in developing short and long-term capital deployment strategies and identify value enhancement opportunities for each assigned hotel.
  9. Establish and maintain effective working relationships with management company and brand representative, lenders and owners/partners.
  10. Maintain a thorough understanding of all factors affecting markets and submarkets associated with assigned hotels.
  11. Manage the P/L for the office; Manage and direct the team within the office and provide leadership and management including supervision, training, performance evaluation, and delegation of work
  12. Ensure that administrative policies, systems, procedures and standards laid out for the office are adhered to by the team
  13. Participate in industry meetings/conferences/seminars both locally and abroad

Desired Profile
  1. A dynamic individual with 10-15 years of owner side, asset management or cross-functional experience with major hotel brands. Driven individual with general management background and demonstrated experience of working on the owner side may also apply.
  2. Should possess at least 4-5 years of experience with a luxury/ upscale hotels.
  3. A keen knowledge of hotel ownership and operations, including but not limited to: rooms division, revenue management, complex hotel metrics, operations, cost controls, brand standards, capital projects, relevant legal matters, plant & equipment, taxation, insurance, legal frameworks, labor relations, financing matters and general financial acumen to ensure the asset value is maximized.
  4. Should be HAMA certified (CHAM)
  5. Strong English communication skills, both oral and written. Knowledge of local language will be an add on.
