  • Work in the Investment Sales service line of the Brokerage & Advisory Division at HVS.
    • The Investment Sales team is rapidly growing, and this is an exciting opportunity with unlimited growth potential. The Investment Sales team focuses on dispositions of hotel properties across the United States.
    • The Brokerage & Advisory (B&A) team consists of six team members across three offices in the United States. Collectively, our team members have participated in hundreds of hotel transactions across the nation, with total aggregate values of over $3 billion.
  • Operate HVS proprietary financial models in Excel and provide in‐depth property analysis utilizing financial statements, STR reports, and forecasts of income/expenses.
  • Develop reasonable and defensible forecasts of income and expenses.
  • Analyze real estate trends including regional, local, and submarket performance, as well as financing activities, including locational drivers that affect an underlying property’s value.
  • Manage the Investment Sales pipeline through the brokerage platform.
  • Prioritize and organize work to meet deadlines.
  • Write compelling reports, including Broker Opinion of Value (BOV), Offering Memorandum (OM), and any other marketing materials/reports.
  • Participate in pitching and executing B&A assignments.
  • Participate in meetings and calls with clients or lenders and input/update company and contact notes in the brokerage platform.
  • Work as part of the B&A team to meet individual and office objectives; all assignments will require collaboration across the entire team.
  • Track new development and noteworthy regional, local, and submarket news; disseminate information to B&A team.
  • Coordinate with clients or lenders during all phases of the assignment process.
  • Establish strong working relationships with the B&A team and clients.
  • Work on special projects.
Essential Skills, Qualifications, and Requirements
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Effective organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Strong work ethic with attention to detail and demonstrated problem-solving skills
  • A valid U.S. driver’s license
Education/Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, real estate, or hotel administration
  • Experience in hotel finance (6 months to 2+ years of hotel finance preferred)
  • Business development experience and desire to progress into a production role
