Job Description
Associate Consultant
HVS Convention, Sports & Entertainment Facilities Consulting
Chicago, Illinois

For the past 25 years, HVS Convention, Sports & Entertainment Facilities Consulting (HVS CSE) has supported the owners and operators of public assembly facilities with independent and expert market research and financial analysis (https://www.hvs.com/assets/conventions-sports-entertainment-facilities). We offer our employees a collaborative, supportive, flexible, and respectful work environment. Our work processes allow associates to quickly climb the learning curve and to produce thoughtful and high-quality work autonomously.

Associates at HVS CSE perform market and feasibility studies for convention and conference centers, stadiums, arenas, sports complexes, theaters, and other entertainment venues and tourist attractions. We help public and private sector clients plan, finance, and operate their venues. We also assist state and local governments in advancing tourism-related economic development initiatives.
The HVS CSE Workplace
In this age of information overload and increasing demands on our time, HVS CSE offers a work environment that maintains a high level of productivity while allowing for a proper work-life balance. We achieve this through:

  • Well-defined work processes that eliminate busy work, unnecessary distractions, and obstacles to productivity.
  • Proprietary software and financial models that allow associates to focus on the creative content of their work rather than on repetitive tasks.
  • Daily collaboration among HVS CSE staff that allows associates to tap the specialized knowledge of their peers.
  • While HVS CSE is based in Chicago, employees may work from a location of their choosing in North America. Since travel to client locations is an essential part of the consulting process, cities with convenient air access are preferred.
HVS CSE is part of HVS, an international network of consultants in the hospitality and tourism industries. We have the support and outreach of HVS and share the DNA and values of this international community of thought workers (https://joinhvs.com/).
