Working alongside experienced brokerage professionals, you'll gain hands-on experience evaluating hotel investment opportunities, analyzing financial performance, researching hospitality markets, and supporting real estate transactions. This position is well-suited for an early-career professional who enjoys working with data, solving problems, and turning financial and market information into meaningful investment analysis.
This Houston-based opportunity is available on a full-time or part-time basis. Full-time starting compensation is $40,000 annually, plus bonus potential, with part-time compensation prorated based on the agreed-upon work schedule. Eligible employees also receive company-paid insurance benefits and a 401(k) match.

Why HVS?
No two hotel transactions are alike. At HVS, you'll have the opportunity to learn about different hospitality markets, property types, investment strategies, and the financial considerations that drive real estate decisions.
Our brokerage team works with hotel owners, investors, and industry professionals throughout the acquisition and disposition process. From evaluating a property's financial performance to preparing investment materials and supporting a transaction through closing, you'll gain exposure to both the analytical and transactional sides of hospitality real estate.
Working alongside experienced industry professionals, you'll develop practical skills in hotel underwriting, market research, valuation, and investment analysis while contributing to meaningful client assignments.

What You Will Do
  • Analyze hotel operating statements, historical financial performance, budgets, and forecasts to evaluate property performance and investment opportunities
  • Build and maintain Excel financial models, including revenue projections, operating expenses, cash flow analyses, and investment returns
  • Research hospitality markets, comparable sales, competitive properties, transaction activity, and industry trends to support property underwriting and pricing recommendations

  • Support due diligence activities, transaction documentation, and the preparation of financial exhibits for prospective investors and clients
  • Collaborate with senior brokerage professionals throughout the sales process, helping monitor transaction milestones and maintain accurate, timely deliverables
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive client, financial, and transaction information
What We Are Looking For

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, with an interest in developing advanced financial modeling skills
  • Ability to interpret financial statements and work with financial data

  • Ability to prioritize assignments, stay organized, and meet deadlines as part of a collaborative team
  • Demonstrated interest in commercial real estate, finance, investment analysis, or the hospitality industry
  • Initiative, adaptability, and a willingness to learn from experienced industry professionals
Previous internship or professional experience in commercial real estate, hospitality, finance, investment analysis, or a related field is a plus. Familiarity with hotel operating metrics, valuation concepts, financial modeling, or hospitality industry research and data platforms is also preferred.
